This week’s news from Grace Church Greenwich…

IMPORTANT! Sunday Venue Change from April 16th
Due to the closure of the King William Building over summer, we will need to switch to having 2 services in the morning. We trust in God’s faithfulness and sovereignty as we navigate this change. We will be able to use a smaller room in the Stephen Lawrence Building (3 mins from our current location), and are hoping to have a second service in the Canada Water Library.

Many of us will have questions, and we’d love to talk them through - you can join us for a Q&A on Monday at 8pm online, or at 7.15pm on Tuesday & Wednesday in the Naval College before Grace Groups.

As we seek to prepare for this change, would you please fill out this short questionnaire? It would be an immense help if everyone could fill it in.

Please also do continue to pray both for the decision and preparations, as well as for unity with one another over the coming months.

Easter Events
We are looking forward to celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Do invite friends & colleagues for:

April 7th, Good Friday, 10.45 am in St.Helen’s Bishopsgate. St. Helen’s helped plant Grace Church 7 years ago, and it has become a joyful tradition to join them on Good Friday. Please sign children into Sunday School & Crèche at 10.30 am at St. Andrews.

April 9th, Easter Sunday, 10.30 am All Age Service in Greenwich (no afternoon Service in Eltham).

Easter Break

There will be no Grace Groups mid-week between April 4th and April 20th. But why not organize a social with your group?

Sceptic's Guide
This is our annual mission week and this year our guest speaker is Tom Heasman, who has kindly made this short video - please share, think and pray about events that you could organise for sceptical friends and neighbours during this week. Previously we’ve had family karaoke, a chess tournament, a pub quiz, a wine tasting, a women’s craft evening – all with a gospel talk.

Summer Weekend Away
Twice a year, the church family escapes from London to spend a weekend together in the Sussex countryside. This Summer Nick Tucker will speak on the topic of his brilliant book “12 things God can’t do”. Booking is open!

Note: There are limited spaces for Saturday-Sunday bookings only. They will be primarily reserved for families with children attending Bridge on Friday night. Please contact Michaela for more information.

Baptisms

We will have a Baptism Service in Eltham on May 14th during Sceptics week. If you would like to get baptised or learn more about Baptism, speak to Jono or Michaela.

Grace Groups

Join us for our last small group Bible studies in Mark 11:27-12:44 before the Easter Break. Prepare beforehand here. Catch up in Grace Pod and listen as the Andrews talk through the Gospel of Mark, following our Grace Group studies. We meet on Tuesday or Wednesday at 7.45 pm here in the King William Building Greenwich and on Wednesday at the Chantry, Mottingham.

Sunday Services

This Sunday we continue our series in Genesis, looking at Genesis 24. Catch up on the series here. We meet at 10:30 am in Greenwich here and at 4 pm in Mottingham here. For those who are unable to attend in person, the 10:30 am service will be streamed here.

Children's Work

Mark 16:1-8

The King is alive!

This week the children will learn about the wonderful news of Jesus' resurrection and how the tomb was found to be empty because Jesus had conquered death. They will see that Jesus, the Son of God, came to rescue his people and offer them eternal life. Please pray that they will see how the resurrection of Jesus proves that he has taken our punishment and conquered death.

Fellowship Fund
The Fellowship Fund offers support for Grace Church members who are facing financial difficulty. This may take the form of a loan and/or a grant, and signposting to debt advice through Christians Against Poverty. The fund is now open to applications by church members here. If you would like to give to the fund, please visit our website. Please be aware that donations may be moved into general church funds at the Trustees’ discretion.
